Yes, I have gotten naked before, but that was because I thought people like dirty laundry, not because I wanted to expose myself. The purpose of this post is not to expose myself either. (You don’t really want to see me naked, do you?)
The truth is I am going through some metamorphosis and it’s not pretty.
When I started this blog, I had no idea what I was doing. I was not happy with my life as it was at the time, and I wanted to get away.
Two years ago, if you’d asked me what was the driving force in my life, I would’ve told you that I want to be a bum (as a matter of fact, I did tell a few people who asked), until I found myself on the streets for a night, by choice. I have a penchant for taking drastic actions. That night, I realized what I really wanted, and learned to choose my words more carefully. What I really wanted, and still want, is to be a nomad and an explorer. I have an insatiable desire to wander around the world, exploring, learning, growing.
Last year, I decided – without any basis – that blogging is the way to go. I’ll start a blog about nomading, and turn it into a niche site to support my wanderlust, without the faintest idea about how it all worked. Like I said, I have a penchant for taking stupid actions.
Today, I realize that I have no idea as to what I am doing. However, I have a better idea of what I want and don’t want, and I am educating myself and have decided on a direction I want to go. I also realize that the vehicle I want to use to get me where I want to go may or may not be of interest to other nomads, presumably the readers of this blog.
So, while I want to be true to my commitment to write blog posts on a set schedule, I am not sure what I write is the right material for the audience here, or if this domain is the right avenue to reach the right audience.
My goal with this blog is to provide helpful content to people who share the wanderlust, and want to make it a reality. As such, I want to share my journey. You may not take the exact same path as mine, but my path may shed a light on what might be your path for you.
In the coming posts, I will talk about what I am doing to make dream a reality, and why I am doing it. I hope this will inspire you to examine your situation and explore the possibilities for your self. The only way I can know if I am on the right path, as far as this blog and its readership goes, is through feedback from you, the readers.
So, more than ever, I need your comments. Should I continue writing here as I stumble about on my way to living a life of my dreams? Let me know your thoughts. I will be grateful for it, and I believe it will serve us both better, regardless of what the outcome is.
