Happiness has to be unconditional. I always say, it is an inside job. But, what I was talking about here was more in line with the context of cultural programing of living happily ever after, as in fairy tales. Yes, happiness is an inside job, and what I am saying is that most people have been trained/programmed to see it as an outside job. So before they can make the switch from outside to inside, if they can just get to understand what is meaningful in their life, it becomes easy to enjoy happiness in the current moment. It sounds like being happy must be conditional to circumstances or after effects that will come in the future. Why not take a closer view of the present state of mind instead and say...I AM HAPPY....and let everything else revolve around it.
