Writing a Blog Post When You’re Not Inspired – Part 2

I was just awakened from a strange dream, if there is such a thing.

I was dreaming about communicating through dreams.

In my dream, I was having a discussion with someone who implied that when I dreamed about them, they were also dreaming the same dream, and was aware of the conversation that I had with them in my dream. She told me to remember the conversation I had with her in her dream that followed next. I could vaguely recall having such a conversation.

Then I find myself at some convention or a meeting, where one of my colleague is telling her that this is a subject that has a lot of truth, and a subject about which we know very little. I suddenly realize that she is still in Chicago, while I am in Houston telling someone about this dream communication.

Then I woke up.

I  lied  there in bed aware of the dream and aware of the fact that I still need to write the blog post for Tuesday Morning. I remembered making an intention to having the inspiration come to me in my dream about what to write, as I was not very inspired to write last night.

As I was playing the scenario in my head, I remembered the instructions from the Morning Pages that clearly states to Think on Paper. So I got up to write. As I fire up my laptop, a song from the 70′s popped up in my head. It was song about dreaming, lyrics to which came to the singer/songwriter Kenny Nolan in a dream. The song was called I like dreamin’.

As I sit here typing the post, the idea that is dominant in my thoughts is that the Present Day Nomads may be more than just nomads of the physical world. They might be nomads of other dimensions as well.

Excellent advice. I wrote for a long time before I started my site, and I also have written some ebooks, so when inspiration is lacking, I fall back to these. I’ve also found that during the lackluster times, I can write about the inner experience–why do I feel this way. Which is exactly what you’ve done here.

    Thanks, very helpful advice.
