Learning in Your Own Peculiar way

“God never burdens a soul more than it can bear” Holy Qur’an

I was reminded of this verse from the Holy Qur’an (Koran) this morning during my writing of the Morning Pages.

Lately, it seems I was losing my passion that I was trying to cultivate daily. I was beginning to lose faith in myself, I had started doubting that I will be able to sustain the enthusiasm with which I was pursuing the passion.

Ego is resistant to the idea of surrender. But if you must succeed, you must learn to surrender to the Higher Self within you that knows everything there is to know. It is connected to the Universe. It is a part of the Universe that recognizes itself to be the part of the whole. Ego, on the other hand insists on separation.

Your purpose in life is to live your life the best that you can.

If you get this nagging feeling that you may not be living fully to honor your potential, chances are that you are not. Honor that nagging feeling, and know that “God does not burden a soul more than it can bear.”

If you feel compelled to do something, know that it is the inner voice prompting you to move in the direction of your purpose. Give into the prompting and resist the temptation to do otherwise.

So what does this all mean? Heck if I know. I am just as confused as you are.

But one thing is for sure, I am going to give into this prompting and see where it takes me. And as Jim Croce once said, “If it takes me nowhere, I’ll go there proud.”

As I looked for a picture to insert in the post, I was prompted to look on my hard drive instead of online, as I usually do. I came across the above picture by just going with the flow and as I was deciding to insert the picture in the post, I realized that I had taken this picture on my way to Enchanted Rock.

I had actually gotten off the intended and planned route to go a different route and then made a U-turn to snap some photos of a ranch that I saw and since I had made the U-turn, I went back tot he intended route. Funny, how things get connected.

Though this may not mean anything to anyone, to me this is just another confirmation of the fact that everything you’ll ever need on your journey of life, is always made ready before you need it. Now, the same can be said about snatching a picture from an online gallery, but we all learn in different ways, and being Mister Weirdo that I am, I learn in the mostĀ bizarre and peculiar of the ways.
